La Jolla Cove Rooftop by Wedgewood Weddings

We had our wedding at La Jolla Cove Rooftop in November, and it was absolutely amazing! We chose this venue because of the stunning views and the fact that everything was taken care of — it made the planning process so stress-free. Communication with the staff was excellent. They were always just a text away, which we genuinely appreciated. Katelyn was such a delight to work with — she always made me smile and feel happy throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, the staff went above and beyond. Everyone, including the bartender, helped make our day beautiful and seamless. The venue itself is breathtaking. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the space was, the open layout, and even the space heaters! Everything was clean, well-maintained, and organized. The food was excellent — though I wish there were slightly more gluten-free options. If you’re looking for a dreamy beach-view wedding without the sand, this is the place. The all-inclusive package is a huge bonus. The only note I’d add is that additional costs, like florals and photographers, could have been communicated a bit more upfront, as they added about $4k to our budget. Overall, we would 100% recommend La Jolla Cove Rooftop to anyone wanting a beautiful, stress-free wedding with breathtaking views.

La Jolla Cove Rooftop is a gorgeous venue with some of the best views in San Diego, but the photos can show you that. What isn’t immediately known, but becomes obvious, is how great of a venue it is because of the people who work there. My husband and I booked our wedding at La Jolla Cove Rooftop over two years in advance from our wedding day. We spent that time fully customizing our day, including DIYing most of our decor. We were able to access the venue at any time we wanted, whether to check measurements or show it off to family visiting from out of town. They took care of all the bigger vendors (bakery, florist, DJ) so we could focus on the details that mattered to us. Even then, their hand selected vendors were fully customizable to us and brought our vision to life. Bree was the coordinator we met with throughout the process, and she was always so warm and so enthusiastic about our vision. She had many couples of her own, but when we showed up for rehearsal day, Bree still remembered us, gave us a big hug and was ecstatic about our day. Robert was our coordinator for the last meeting, rehearsal and wedding day. We couldn’t have had such a beautiful day without him. Immediately, Robert understood who we were as a couple and was extremely keyed in to all the little things we had worked on the last 2+ years. We felt extremely comfortable putting our vision in his hands, and he became a very trusted partner quickly. When it became clear that we would have to move to a rain contingency plan, changing the vision of our wedding day we had for years, Robert was available to us to answer questions, quickly come up with a plan and comfort us through the anxiety of changing everything at the last minute. On wedding day, when the rain got the best of me, Robert was the one to give me a hug and let me process my emotions before our ceremony. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to Robert and team. All of our guests have told us what a great experience they had, and that they even liked being under the pavilion all together more because it gave the wedding an intimate feel. Even with the quick changes, all the important details were included and executed well. Our parents felt cared for by Robert during the whole process as well, he went out of his way to ensure their needs were attended to and they felt important. When Robert left for the night, Esteban and the rest of the team stepped in to take great care of us. Esteban even kindly helped me put my (very rain soaked) dress into a trash bag once the dance floor started so I could change into something more comfortable. At the end of the night, they had no problem kicking out our guests so we could have a private last dance. Shout out to everyone at La Jolla Cove Rooftop for making our wedding day exceptional, even with the weather throwing a wrench into the plans. We will never forget the kindness, warmth and love shown to us on the most important day of our lives. Cannot recommend enough! As if the view and space itself was stunning enough, the entire Wedgewood team really sealed the deal! The coordination team (Bree, Corina, Elizabeth, Jenna & Katelyn) really were so supportive with answering any questions I had! They were all so kind and I felt like they were genuinely excited to support us and help make our day as magical as it was! Sava and his event team were super attentive! Garrett, our bartender, kept the drinks FLOWING all night - my guests LOVED him! The venue and set up was stunning. The tablescapes were beautiful and EXACTLY the vision I had for the day! The florals were so beautiful, done by Emerald & Ivy - who were so easy to work with and really made my vision come to life. The photobooth was such great quality & was a HUGE hit! Honestly, my favorite photos of the night came from the photobooth! My family loved the lawn games that were put out during cocktail hour. My guests also RAVED about the food (especially during cocktail hour). The only note I would make is that I wish the music/ speakers were a little bit louder - I couldn't really hear it unless I was on the dancefloor (understandable though since we were outside). The star of the show though... ROBERT! I cannot sing his praises enough! I cannot image how different my day would have been if he was not there. His kindness and energy was truly one of a kind! He ensured that my husband and I were taken care of the whole night and tackled any issues that came up. Knowing he was there really helped me relax because I knew everything was in the best, most capable hands! There is not one thing I would have changed about the day - and the Wedgewood team made it PERFECT!

Attended a wedding here on 7/5/2025. Beautiful venue with great views of the ocean and sunset! Staff were great and the weather was sunny yet not too hot that day. Ceremony area is shaded (covered) which is great for guests. Cocktail hour area has outdoor sofa and lounge chairs with big sun umbrellas that provided good shades. By the evening as dinner reception started, the fireplaces turned on as well as string lights, providing an added romantic ambiance to the space.

great venue! it was the first we checked out as option and we fell in love. it checks all the boxes for what we are looking for. It may be a bit higher than our budget but the all inclusive package makes it all worth it and saves us time researching for other venues. The wedgewood team were all super amazing to work with from the very start! thanks to Emma for our first meeting and touring us, for Robert and Elizabeth for succeeding meetings and Bree and Fede as our day-of coordinator and banquet captain. We never met them before the wedding except Bree during decor drop off, but it all turned out well and beyond what we imagined. They're all so kind and helpful, very responsive, and takes care of us and the guests the whole time! Well executed! thanks so much. Oh, and the food was amazing too in case any couple are not able to attend the extravaganza like us.
