Villa Le Fontanelle: Your Dream Tuscan Wedding

Villa Le Fontanelle, just outside Florence, is a breathtaking location for a wedding. I am a videographer and often film weddings here, and couples are always enchanted by the views. From the villa’s terrace, you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of Florence, including the iconic Duomo. Villa Le Fontanelle is stunning. Truly, even more beautiful in person! The staff were amazing: kind, professional, and so easy to communicate with. They made planning my elopement ceremony here completely stress-free. Everything was perfect I can’t recommend this place enough!

Villa Le Fontanelle is an absolutely stunning boutique hotel (or villa!) that truly exceeds expectations. With only 7 luxurious suites, it offers an intimate and exclusive atmosphere. The interior design is exquisite, and the pool is nothing short of perfect. Service is impeccable—every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. As a cherry on top, there’s also a wildly popular restaurant on-site with breathtaking views over Florence. If you find availability, don’t hesitate—book immediately.

Amazing place, but feels more as airbnb - service is almost non existent. We arrived and made a walk around and then finally found reception and waited 15 min. We went on a search and finally found someone to get the key. There were tons of stairs to get to our room and we werent provided/suggested any help. We tried to get to the restaraunt- no luck in finding the entrance, no clear signs, we ended up arriving from the backdoor to the restaraunt. Then, there was no light in all the area which happens. However the staff was super weird about it- we've been told there is problem and received a glass of prosecco. 40-50 min later no one came to our table to update us or atleast give us any news or give us a choice. So once we started seeing people leaving we told them we'll go. We've been helped to find a way back to our room (no light anywhere) but no light/flashlights were given. It took them another hour to bring us lights. There was no running water so we couldnt brush the teeth even or the baby. We werent suggested another water bottle or in general no body checked on us- guests in complete darkness, with no running water and no dinner. Unfortunately I have fallen from the stairs as it was 100% dark and bruise my knee badly. In the morning, the staff was again hard to find, we were able to order coffee but there was again no one in the reception or around to tell we have left the room. I got a call few hours later asking for payment of the tax. No question on how was our stay with complete darkness, no wifi (there is almost no mobile connection), no running water- so it really felt like a no service little hotel with family living on property. There is charm and magic to the place but the managment needs to step up their service.

As videographers, coming to this place is a unique experience. Here, we have filmed beautiful weddings. The couples were simply thrilled to be able to marry in such a place, among the hills of Florence, just a short distance from the city center. Celebrating the wedding in the gardens and dining under the pergola with a view of the Duomo is a unique experience. We absolutely recommend that couples choose this place for their wedding. We love Villa Le Fontanelle!
