The British Academy is normally a members only club. However for one weekend per year it is open to the public as part of the Open City Festival. The building used to be owned by the Guinness family and William Gladstone. The building itself is just off Horseguards Parade but the square is really quiet. The decor inside is stunning, historic and contemporary at the same time. I was extremely lucky in that I was a volunteer during Open City Festival. It is a beautiful building we'll worth a visit.
