Deering Estate Wedding Venue

This is a special place that I almost don't want to write about because it won't be a secret. If you have a chance, sign up for their sunrise events, which take place about 6 times a year. If you are lucky, you will see an amazing sunrise in an incredible setting. There will be plenty of wildlife there for people who like birds. Yes, sunrise means getting up early and paying in advance. Join their club to get notifications for when this event happens. I took several sunrise picture before, during and after that I shared below. This is definitely one of the better parks in Miami-Dade County.

Deering Estate is an amazing piece of property started by Charles. It is quiet and peaceful and if you go now you may get to see Manatees, the people who work there are super nice and we happened to get luck and meet their amazing collection of reptiles thanks to Elias/Elijah/Isias not sure how to spell his name. Unfortunately the stone house is under renovation but don’t let that stop you from visiting. There is all sorts of wildlife and just tons to do. I believe a Ruth was at the ticket booth and she gave us great recommendations. Please go to this beautiful estate. Learn about the amazing Charles Deering, those that have maintained his dream, and about some history.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Each room had a different theme. We were a little disappointed that the man house is being repaired and is off limits. But it's very nice!

Been craving an experience like this. The staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions to better enjoy the visit and engage the visitors in the history of the State. The stone house was under repair and closed for visits, but still the rest of the state was beautiful and well maintained. This could be a good day long picnic family activity choice for those Saturdays that you aren’t sure what to do. Hope to visit again for their famous ghost tours during September- October, 7:30 pm - 9:30pm. Came in with a Museum Pass from Miami Dade Public Library, check it out for budget friendly visit.

I finally paid a visit to the Deering State. It’s a perfect activity to get disconnected from the busy city. Tickets are priced at $15 for adults but thanks to the Miami Dade Library Museum Pass, I was able to visit it for free. I enjoyed walking through the gardens, the Atlantic Ocean views and the architecture of the main building. All in all, a great activity for the whole family.
