Rana Daggubati’s Roka Ceremony With Miheeka Bajaj During Lockdown

With some lockdown restrictions still in place, the roka ceremony of the Bahubali star Rana Daggubati and entrepreneur Miheeka Bajaj took place in Hyderabad at the Ramanaidu Film Studios. Rana wore a white shirt and dhoti on his roka ceremony, while her partner Miheeka chose to wear a pink and yellow silk saree with a designer blouse.

Due to lockdown restrictions it seems it was absolutely a close-knit affair. Earlier this month, Rana proposed to his longtime girlfriend Miheeka Bajaj, which he shared on his social media handles as well. After she said yes, the duo decided to take the blessings of their family and finalized the roka ceremony.

A roka ceremony is a traditional Indian function where the families of the bride and groom meet and discuss the engagement, wedding and reception. The groom’s family gives shagan to the bride, whereas the bride’s family gives shagan to the groom. It is the ceremony that takes place before the engagement. We can also say that the roka marks the beginning of the wedding festivities.

And it’s official!! 💥💥💥💥

The couple is yet to announce their wedding date. In an interview, Rana’s father Suresh Babu revealed that the wedding might take place by the end of this year or even before that. However, there is no official announcement regarding the engagement and wedding date so far.

The actor is busy receiving best wishes and congratulations from his fans, friends and celebrities.

So, if you are also planning to begin wedding festivities, you can also start with a roka ceremony. The best thing is you would not need to invite too many people. And you would be able to mark the beginning of your wedding festivities. A small ceremony like roka can be a good reason to subside the mundanities of lockdown, to celebrate, to have some good time with your loved ones, and to enjoy.

Happy Togetherness To The Duo….. ☺ ☺
