The Sarbjit star, Randeep Hooda, tied the knot with his long-term girlfriend, Lin Laishram, on Wednesday, November 29 in Imphal. The two got wed-locked in a popular Manipuri tradition known as Meitei. Randeep and Lin’s Wedding They looked absolutely stunning in traditional Manipuri attire.
Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram reached Imphal on Monday for their wedding. The two decided to host an intimate wedding ceremony with just their family members and friends. The couple chose to tie the knot at Chumthang Sanapung, an enchanting venue situated at Langthabal in West Imphal. After arriving in Imphal on November 27, the two visited Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen and Shri Shri Govindajee temples in Imphal, seeking blessings. After that, they proceeded to visit a relief camp in Moirang and Loktak Lake.
Randeep and Lin’s Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony of Randeep and Lin took place in a beautifully understated and enchanting setting, adorned with shades of white, offering plenty of seating and bathed in a warm, inviting glow of lights. A video from the wedding ceremony was released that showed Lin dressed as a stunning Manipuri bride. She wore a Potloi or Polloi, which is a cylindrical skirt crafted from sturdy fabric and reinforced with rigid bamboo. The dress, made of satin and velvet fabric, was adorned with jewels and glitter.
The actor looked stunning in his traditional Manipuri attire, perfectly embodying the role of a Manipuri groom. He was dressed in a white cotton dhoti, paired with a kurta and a turban known locally as kokyet. Additionally, he was seen wearing a plain white shawl to complement his outfit.
In a video from their wedding, Randeep was seen walking towards the wedding venue. He was surrounded by his loving family and relatives, creating a beautiful and joyous atmosphere.
Before their wedding, Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram paid a visit to the Ipudhou Marjing Khubamlen and Shri Shri Govindajee temples in Imphal, seeking blessings.
After receiving blessings, Randeep expressed his desire for a happy married life in a statement. He even expressed his desire for peace in Manipur, as well as peace throughout the world, and also wished for a happy married life.
A few days ago, Randeep took to his social media handle to confirm the news of his wedding. He wrote: “We are getting married with the blessings of our families and friends, inspired by the story of Arjuna and the Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada from the Mahabharata.” Additionally, he mentioned that the wedding reception will be held at a later date in Mumbai. However, they haven’t disclosed the wedding reception dates as of now!
The couple even urged their near and dear ones to send blessings in a shared post. The post read: “In this momentous journey, we humbly request your blessings and affection for the merging of our cultures, a union that fills us with eternal gratitude and indebtedness.”
In their official wedding statement, they expressed that they were inspired by the story of Arjuna and Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada from the Mahabharata. They shared that they were grateful for the blessings and support of their families and friends as they embarked on their journey of marriage. We are delighted to announce that our wedding will be held on November 29, 2023, in Imphal, Manipur. Following the ceremony, we will be hosting a reception in Mumbai.
