KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty are getting wedded on 23rd January after dating for nearly four years. The wedding will be an intimate affair at a lavish bungalow in Khandala, which belongs to actor Suniel Shetty, the bride’s father.
The bride-to-be, Athiya Shetty, always wanted a low-key marriage, and even the cricketer KL Rahul liked the idea. Then Suniel Shetty came up with the idea to turn his holiday home in Khandala into the venue of all the wedding festivities.
The pre-wedding festivities begin on 22nd January with a lavish cocktail party for family members and close friends. All the guests stay in a luxurious hotel near the bungalow to attend all the functions easily.
Haldi and Mehendi functions will also be held on 22nd January. The whole bungalow is ornamented with attractive flowers. The couple will add flavor to the functions by celebrating their haldi together. The couple is getting married on 23rd January.
KL Rahul’s teammates won’t be able to attend the wedding due to the ongoing series between India and New Zealand, but they will be attending the big reception in Mumbai, which around 3000 guests will follow.
The celebrity guests expected to reach Khandala are Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, and Virat Kohli. The guests will be served delicious delicacies on banana leaves to keep the traditional look. However, only 70 people will attend the wedding ceremony, and photography is not allowed.
