On Sunday, Veteran actor Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol got wed locked to his girlfriend, Drisha Acharya. Karan and Drisha have been seeing each other since high school. The wedding ceremony took place at Taj Lands End in Mumbai in the presence of the couple’s family members and close friends. In the evening, the Deol family organized a lavish wedding reception for their colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Wedding Ceremony
Karan and Drisha’s wedding took place at Taj Lands End in Mumbai during the daytime on June 18th, 2023. Drisha wore a red lehenga, while Karan wore a cream-colored sherwani and a matching turban. In addition, Drisha was decked out in a massive mang tika and a gold necklace. Both of them looked stunning in their wedding attire.
Karan and Drisha got married as per Hindu customs. The first photograph taken of the pair depicted them seated around the sacred fire in preparation for their wedding service.
Pictures of the baraat started appearing online just as the couple was about to leave for the ceremony. Karan’s grandfather Dharmendra, Karan’s grandmother Prakash Kaur; Karan’s father, Sunny Deol; and Karan’s uncles, Bobby Deol and Abhay Deol, were all there as baaraatis. Dharmendra could be seen in the photographs sauntering slowly with the assistance of Bobby Deol as the two of them were joined by a number of other baaraatis. The baaratis, including Bobby Deol, danced around Karan as he sat on a white horse as the dhol sounds played in the background. In addition to others, Dharmendra was also seen dancing on dhol.
All the baraatis were wearing dark maroon turbans. Sunny was dressed impeccably in a kurta with a greenish hue and a red turban. In addition, Bobby Deol posed for photographs while dressed in a powder blue sherwani and a maroon turban.
Pre-Wedding Festivities
The festivities leading up to Karan and Drisha’s wedding began on Monday night with a roka ceremony. On June 15th, the couple’s Haldi ceremony held at their home only. The sangeet ceremony was held on a Friday, and one of the highlights was watching the groom’s grandfather dance with his grandson to the tune of Yamla Pagla Deewana. Sunny Deol also performed to Main Nikla Gaddi Leke. Bobby and Tanya Deol, his wife, danced to the love number “Humko Sirf Tumse Pyaar Hai” that he had composed.
Wedding Reception
The newlyweds Karan and Drisha looked very lovely together as they entered their wedding reception venue. Karan looked dapper in a black tuxedo, Drisha on the hand looked gorgeous in her long train gown.
Sunny Deol was the first to arrive at the reception venue. He was accompanied by his younger son Rajveer Deol. The two were seen handing out sweets to the photographers. Then Karan’s grandfather Dharmendra and his uncle Bobby Deol joined. Bobby was seen with his kid Aryaman Deol and his wife, Tanya Deol.
At Karan and Disha’s reception, the who’s who of the Hindi film business came to shower their blessings on the newlyweds. It was a star-studded occasion. The celebration was attended by a number of well-known Bollywood actors, including Suniel Shetty, Raj Babbar, Shatrughan Sinha, Anupam Kher, Prem Chopra, Abhay Deol, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Subhash Ghai, among others.
Karan took to his social media handle and uploaded images from his wedding and captioned them with the following: “You are my today and all of my tomorrows. “The first step in what will be an amazing adventure throughout our lives. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for all of the well wishes and numerous blessings that have been showered upon us!”
In addition, Bobby Deol also took to his Instagram handle and shared some of the wedding images.
Karan and Drisha have been dating since they were in high school. Karan followed his family legacy by choosing to work in the entertainment industry. He started his acting career in 2019. In 2019, he made his debut in Bollywood with the film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, which Sunny Deol directed. He was later featured in the film Velle. Apne 2 will be the first film in which he appears. Drisha, on the other hand, works in the fashion industry.
